Trading in the forex is not done at one central location but is conducted between participants via electronic communication networks (ECNs) in various markets around the world.

The market is open 24 hours a day in different parts of the world, from 6 a.m. GMT on Monday until 6 a.m. GMT on Saturday. At any point in time, there is at least one market open, and there are a few hours of overlap between one region’s market closing and another opening.

Overlap timings, what does that mean? When are the best trading hours?

Yes, there are overlapping hours, where two exchanges are open and operating at the same time. It means that, theres a possibility for more market movement or volatility.

There are many discussions, theories and strategies found on the interwebs about trading during these specific timings. At JF Lennon, we understand that we cannot control the market and hence there is no “best” trading hours.

We like to keep things simple, we strictly follow a set of parameters; strategy, to identify when and where to enter and exit the Forex Market. No need to fuss or stay up into the wee hours of the night to trade. All you need to do is scan your phone once every hour or so (like how you’re already scrolling social media), and enter the trade if there is an opportunity.
