On the 12th March 2011, JF Lennon and the JFL Ambassador club
visited the AWWA (Asian Women's Welfare Association) in the morning
for an interactive session with the children. The day started off
with an opening speech by our CEO Mr. Jimmy Wong and an introduction
of the association by the AWWA personnel.
Within a few hours, the JFL volunteers bonded with the children
through activities such as arts and craft and fancy balloon
crafting. One of our volunteers Kia, brought along plenty of arts
and craft material for the children to create colourful sand-filled
bottles as decorations. This hands-on activity was an ice-breaker
between the volunteers and the children. Soon, the room was filled
with laughter as everyone was enjoying each other's company!
The first activity was followed by balloon modeling, which was
taught by volunteer Jeff. The children were busy following Jeff's
instructions and twisting the balloons and soon, everyone had an
animal-balloon in his/her hands! Jeff also dedicated a slot to make
special balloon models for each and every child present. It was
heartwarming to see the smiles and laughter of the children.
JF Lennon would like to thank the volunteers for taking out time
to interact with the children!
We hope to do even more of such events in future to bring joy to
even more children.
Do your part for the society now!
