Charity Event - Make A Difference!

On a
Saturday morning, JF Lennon and CDAC (Chinese Development Assistance
Council) made a small step to “Make a Difference” by doing a makeover to the
single-bedroom HDB flat currently occupied by a family of 3; the father is
an odd-job single parent with 2 kids.
Before
the actual day, site visits were made by representatives of the Intrillion
Group (ITG) to identify the needs of the family so that the donations and
work given were as effective as possible.
Mr.
Jimmy Wong headed the team which comprised of the JF Lennon staff, ITG
members and more importantly, the JF Lennon student volunteers. Everyone
were busy spring-cleaning the flat before assembling the new furniture which
includes two study desks with chairs, a two-seater sofa and a double decker
bed with new mattresses and pillows.
The
great day ended with Mr. Wong presenting the family with gifts, which was
clearly appreciated and well received.

Lennon would like to thank everyone for their generous contributions to make
the home makeover such a great success.
We appreciate the work done by the ITG members and the JFL student
volunteers: Eden Chua, Daphne Ong, Karen Goh, Maurice Tan and Loh Siew Fong.
This would
be the first of many projects that JF Lennon will embark on and we hope that
we will continue to receive the valuable support from all of JF Lennon’s
students. Come and join us in our mission to help the world, one step at a
time.
