JF Lennon is honoured to be invited by National University of Singapore’s Students’ Investment Society to speak at the Forex Seminar on the 4th of November. More than 150 students had signed up for the seminar held at NUS’s Business Faculty.
It was a night not to be missed by students interested in trading financial instruments. NUS students and members of the NUS Investment Society turned up for the talk and many were seen waiting outside the seminar venue even before the designated starting time.

When asked by the first speaker Mr. Laurence Howe on their knowledge of Forex, many students were not aware of how to trade Forex and voiced their concerns on the risks and instability of the financial instrument.

Educating the students on Forex trading was the priority of the seminar. Cautious and curious were probably the best words to describe the attendees as they posed interesting questions to the speakers.

JFL’s marksman trader cum Director Mr. Jimmy Wong was present as a speaker and did a live demonstration of his trading; even showing the NUS students his trading results for the same day. Mr. Wong spoke to the students like a trading mentor, shared his trading experience and gave many advices to them.

Kevin Koh, president of the NUS Students’ Investment Society, decided on the collaboration because of JF Lennon’s emphasis on responsible teaching in their Forex trading courses.

“Mr. Wong is a practicing trader and his engaging and entertaining sharing invoked the students interest in exploring Forex trading,” Kevin said.

Kevin added that the Forex Seminar had attracted more participants than their usual event numbers. The increase in number signifies the students’ growing interest in Forex trading.

Many students came into the seminar skeptical of Forex trading but were soon won over by the genuine presentation by Mr. Laurence Howe and Mr. Jimmy Wong. Many students approached the speakers for more information and advice on getting started in Forex trading.

Forex trading these days is no longer limited to just the rich and professionals. In fact, with just a laptop and proper training which emphasizes on mindset, money management and method, even students can trade and accumulate some experience while pursuing their education.

This collaboration with Wealth Studio and NUS Investment Club was a success as students have benefited from learning Forex through the experienced speakers and traders. JF Lennon would like to extend our gratitude to Wealth Studio and the NUS Students’ Investment Society for the invite and warm welcome.
